Weather interrupts Bluff BC any pairs

On Friday night the attendance draw was won by Clinton Bisset who was not there to collect his bounty.

ONLY one competition was played on Saturday at Bluff Bowling Club, in which Harvey Simpkin and Michael Schudel beat Spider Williams and Hilton Lassak in the men’s nominated pairs.

On Sunday, the Bluff any pairs sponsored by Dudley and Brian, could not be completed due to the weather.

The prizes became drawn prizes and second prize went to Noel Morel and Phil Hill and the first prize was won by Eddie Human and Dave Rowe.

On Friday night the attendance draw was won by Clinton Bisset who was not there to collect his bounty. The jackpot draw was won by Ronel Morel who could not find the joker so the prize money was carried forward and now stands at R4,000. The lotto was also a carry-over and the prize is also creeping up.

A number of club competitions have been posted for Saturday. Both women and men members are asked to check the boards to see if they are playing.

On Monday, 25 September the annual challenge takes place between Bluff and sister club Wentworth Bowling Club. Six men’s sides are playing at the Bluff. The sides are on the notice board. If there are any queries, contact Dudley Dorrofield. The three women’s sides are playing at Wentworth BC. The following women are to meet at Bluff BC at 8.15 am – B White, L Nel, D Spack, C Bower, E Stapelberg, J Foster, R Morel, L du Plessis, D Reinhardt, S Bisset, G Mackrory and K Schaefer. Play starts at 9am and members are asked to be punctual.

The club will be holding a jumble sale on Saturday, 30 September in the clubhouse from 7.30am to 1pm.
