Rossburgh licensing staff restore motorist’s faith

I want to recognize the courtesy and help given to me by the following staff at this office.

EDITOR – Recently I had to renew my driver’s licence, the nearest licence department being Rossburgh.

Being in a wheelchair I was concerned about any problems that may occur.

On arrival at 7.45am, I realized this could take a long time. An attendant was handing out green forms. My husband approached him for my form, showing my ID and driver’s licence as well as proof of residence. He mumbled a refusal and when questioned about what was wrong, turned away and attended to others in the queue.

At this time my husband noticed an official in uniform and approached him to explain the problem. He asked where I was and my husband pointed me out. The official approached me, introduced himself and took the wheelchair along to a separate office. We were told to take a seat and relax. Another staff member came forward and with a smile, assisted me to renew the licence.

I want to recognise the courtesy and help given to me by the following staff at this office. Many thanks to Imram Suleman, Jerrick Bhenegu and Neville Meth.

These members restored our faith in the staff at the Rossburgh driver’s license renewals office.
