South Africans respond to minister’s call for a name change
There have been mixed reactions to the suggestion of a name change for the country.
TWITTER users are reacting to Arts and Culture Minister, Nathi Mthethwa’s call for the country’s name to be changed.
People are using #Azania to speak for and against the idea. Azania being the most likely title to be put forward as a replacement. This was a name used by Azapo and the Pan Africanist Congress to describe the country.
The name of this country is #Azania 🌍
