Weekend bowls compos go down to the wire

The other singles game was played between Eric Coetzee and Dave Lloyd and was also neck and neck but in the end, Eric beat Dave 23-13.

SATURDAY saw three competitions being played at Woodlands Bowling Club.

Two single games took place between Norman Moore and novice Jason Hewer.

What a lovely and tight game it was to watch. The score was neck and neck until about the 12th end when Norman’s experience overtook Jason’s novice status. The final score was Norman 22 and Jason 15.

The other singles game was played between Eric Coetzee and Dave Lloyd and was also neck and neck but in the end, Eric beat Dave 23-13. The mixed pairs was played between Harold Dix and Gloria Rice and Rina Harper and Andy Cloete, with Rina and Andy the victors with a score of 21-9.

Note that due to the Port Natal men’s and women’s trips starting play on Sunday, 26 March, the club has had to cancel its monthly shirts and skirts competition.

Good luck to all bowlers playing in the trips competition.
