Informant’s tip-off leads to arrest of Wentworth drug dealer

The 26-year-old will appear in court today, 10 March.

AN INFORMANT’s detailed description led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Wentworth man for the possession of drugs on Thursday, 9 March.

Police officers from Wentworth SAPS were patrolling the Duranta Road flats in Wentworth when they received the tip-off. Thanks to the description given, they spotted the man behind the flats and searched him.

“The officers found 50 pink and white capsules, which are suspected to heroin,” said Wentworth SAPS communication officer, Capt Mbuso Gumede.

The 26-year-old was charged for possession of heroin and appeared in court today, 10 March.
