By Bolt-on-Wanderers

WANDERERS Bowling Club extends its condolences to Flo and the Wilesmith family on the death of Smiler on Friday, 3 March.

He will be missed.

With the annual Bluff tournament taking place on Saturday and Sunday, there was not much action on the club’s greens but regular ‘tabs-in’ supporter Chris Klopper, who celebrates his 89th birthday on 4 April, advised the scribe that they were in good nick for this Sunday’s popular breakfast trips.

Should you wish to enter a side, call Jeff on 082-808-7793. Wednesday also sees the Taffy pairs taking place, so call Ken if you wish to enter a side on 073-613-9733.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were: Lamb pack – Wendy van Eck, beef – Dan Paruk, pork roast – Clive Symons, rump – Julie Gibbs, chicken pack – Jackie Freeman, chicken – Ian Demmer.

The snowball sitting on R2,000 was another carry-over as Alan Bouwer was drawn, but not present. The Friday Lotto was also another carry-over with R1,300 in the pool as numbers 5-6-10 were not taken.

The joker draw reached a carry-over of R16,260 as the PRAT’s (Pat, Richard, Anthony and Terrance) once again failed to locate the joker.

The club’s thoughts and prayers are extended to those members on the recovery list, get well soon fellow Wanderers.
