New forums to create closer ties to Bluff ward councillor

Many people don’t know who to contact when they have problems

IN a bid to improve service delivery, ward 66 (Bluff) councillor, JP Prinsloo has initiated the Bluff Community Noticeboard on Facebook and WhatsApp.

Service delivery and communication are top priorities for the councillor in 2017 and he hopes this simplified and easily accessible system will allow community members to point out issues.

“Through this platform, I hope to communicate with the community. Many people don’t know who to contact when they have problems. Through the community noticeboard, I will be able to give them the correct information and assist where I can.

Also, when there are issues I am handling for the community, the noticeboard will act as a platform for me to communicate updates and get people informed,” said Prinsloo.

The Facebook page has already kept residents up-to-date on water restriction issues, road and parks maintenance and upcoming events.

Through the WhatsApp group, residents have been able to quickly inform the councillor of current issues without delay.

To join, look for the Facebook page, BluffCommunityNoticeboard where a link is also available to join the WhatsApp group.
