This is a community-based club that serves the areas of the Bluff, Merebank, Wentworth and Umlazi.

BAYVIEW Sports Club, which has been in existence for more than 50 years, calls on all children wanting to develop their skills in soccer to join them for training.

The club is located at Wentworth Park, at the corner of St Patricks Road and Wentworth Road, up the road from Checkers, opposite Wentworth Bowling Club which is opposite Grosvenor Girls High School.

This is a community-based club that serves the areas of the Bluff, Merebank, Wentworth and Umlazi. The club is run entirely by volunteers who give of their time to train and develop children of all cultures. Many sports club members come from disadvantaged communities, and have to be sponsored to enable them to participate in the sport that they love.

Sport lends itself to achieving South Africa’s objectives of breaking down barriers among the different cultures, thereby affording children the opportunity to learn, understand and respect each other.

Bayview Sports Club has the following age groups U6; U7; U8; U9; U10; U11; U12; U13; U15; U17; U19; seniors and over 35 teams.

Training will commence on Wednesday, 1 February and training days are on Mondays and Wednesdays for U6 to U12 at 5.15pm to 6.45pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the U13s to U19s train from 5.15pm to 6.45pm. The senior team practises on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Anybody who would like to give back to the community in the form of coaching is most welcome. Call Mario Labuscagne on 078-516-9554.
