Two bikers among injured in weekend crashes

EIGHT people were injured on the Bluff in a series of collisions over the weekend.

Three people were injured in a crash involving two cars on Solomon Mahlangu Drive (Edwin Swales VC) near Ganesh Road at about 7.30am on Friday, 2 December.

“Rescue Care paramedics found the two vehicles had collided in a T-bone fashion. Three people had sustained injuries from minor to moderate,” said Rescue Care advanced life support paramedic, Ceron Lennox.

On Saturday, 3 December about 10.30am a motorcyclist was knocked down along Tara Road near Beach Road. According to Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson, the biker sustained moderate injuries.

Later that day, at about 2.30pm, two cars crashed into one another at the corner of Bluff and Old Mission roads, leaving three people with moderate injuries and causing delays on Bluff Road as paramedics worked to stabilise them.

A third accident the same day, this time at about 8.30pm, saw a second motorcyclist knocked over. The biker was hit by a car on Bluff Road near Lighthouse Road. He suffered moderate injuries.

All the injured were treated at the various scenes and taken to hospital for further care.
