[WIN TICKETS] Lollo and his best friend Lettie will be visiting Durban to entertain children

LOLLO and friends are coming to town and they can’t wait to entertain hundreds of children who will watch the show on Saturday, 29 October at 10am at Port Natal School in Umbilo.

Lollo is a friendly character from Lalaland, He loves the colour green and loves eating healthy food such as fruit, vegetables, meat and Lalalollies.

His pet’s name is Gomgompie. Lollo enjoys dancing, but he also loves playing hide-and-seek with his best friend Lettie. The show provides unique entertainment for children, and is targeted at children between the ages of one and 10. Lollo and his friends aim to keep all children across the country healthy and fit. During their lively shows the characters encourage youngsters to dance and play along as they learn something new in a playful way. They learn among other things about the ABC, how to count, the different days of the week and how to eat healthy.

The Lollo show was the brainchild of moms, Alta Joubert and Minki Burger who felt there was not enough modern, colourful and interactive entertainment for children in Afrikaans. They created the show in 2008 with the release of their first CD. The songs on the CD, DVD and shows are cheerful and funky, entertaining both young and old. They’ve released a total of eight CD’s to date, of which six reached platinum status, and to top that, they’ve also won a SAMA award for best children’s CD.

The show and characters became so popular that they’ve launched their own product range that includes storybooks, bath products, clothing, soft toys, masks, backpacks and even themed party products.
