Sisters attacked by enraged ex boyfriend

One of the sisters was left with a broken middle finger sustained in the attack.

A WOMAN and her sister were allegedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend on Monday, 10 October in South Coast Road, Clairwood.

At about 7.30pm the sisters were walking back to their room when the man allegedly approached them and started grabbing at his ex.

He swore at her and pulled at her pyjamas. According to the sisters’ report to the police, the assault escalated when he punched her in the chest and started dragging her down at the corner of Jacobs and South Coast Road.

The terrified sister tried to help by pulling his former girlfriend back. In the midst of a tug-o-war, the man got angry and pushed his ex’s sister away. He produced a knife and slapped her as she was still trying to stop him from hitting the victim.

He lunged at and jabbed her with the knife, but fortunately she was not stabbed. He stopped the attack and forcefully entered their room, demanding R500. “Through fear the victim gave him R300 but he was not satisfied. He threatened her with the knife and forced her to hand over another R200,” said Montclair SAPS communication officer, Capt Dereck vijiam.

After taking the money he left. One of the sisters was left with a broken middle finger sustained in the attack.
