Woodlands PN men’s pairs bowlers bow out

This Wednesday, 7 September the club will be hosting the “any pairs” competition.

THIS week started off with Woodlands Bowling Club casual fours breakfast on Thursday in good weather conditions.

Thanks go to Arthur Carlyle for sponsoring the potatoes for the chips.

It was great to see some ‘old’ bowlers back on the greens. Second session winners were Dawn and Kurt Spack, Joanne Jordaan and Gwen Tait on 2+7. Overall winners on a 4+35 were Rina Harper, Norman Moore, Linda Hewer and Andy Cloete. Arnie Harper won the meat draw with Andy Cloete snapping up the R40 and Anne Bonthrone grabbing the R20 money board.

The club welcomed Arnie Harper into the fold and hopes he has many happy years at Woodlands.

Sunday saw the start of the Port Natal pairs competition. Unfortunately Norman Moore injured his leg and couldn’t play. All the Woodlands teams unfortunately didn’t do all that well and didn’t go further but all enjoyed their games.

This Wednesday, 7 September the club will be hosting the any pairs competition. Contact Linda Hewer on 082-724-6575 to enter a team.
