Ramblers to traverse Inchanga, Hillcrest

On Sunday, 28 February hikers will explore Gromor, Inchanga.

DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club members will take a hike in Hillcrest on Saturday, 27 February.

Hikers are to meet at the Keg situated at the back of Oxford Village, at the former Heritage Market, at 1.45pm. The hike goes down to the valley below, with hikers doing a small stream crossing, perusing some wooded areas, sugar cane and open areas. They will meet back at the Keg for drinks afterwards.

This 10km hike is graded two, moderate.

On Sunday, 28 February hikers will explore Gromor, Inchanga. Call hike leader Margie Forbes on 073-437-6915.

Meet at Union Main Centre, Old Main Road, Pinetown in time for a prompt 7am departure or meet at Inchanga Station at 7.30am. A moderate hike through Gromor land, through the old railway nursery, across the railway bridge and back to Inchanga, where hikers can enjoy the flea market and hopefully, see the steam train. Petrol sharing R20. This 15km hike is graded two.
