THREE men were arrested on 18 January while the provincial task team led by W/O Tiger Ramsamy and the Montclair crime prevention team were doing observations at the intersection of South Coast and Himalayas Road due to an increase in smash and grabs and hijackings.
The members noticed three suspicious-looking men in the vicinity and were notified by an informer that they were responsible for a number of robberies. They arrested them and were positively identified by the complainants.
“The suspects will be linked to other cases which are being investigated by W/O Rico Naidoo. Manangement of Montclair SAPS commend the members for the arrest,” said communications officer, W/O Poobalan Marimuthu.
