THURSDAY, 21 JANUARY: The KZN branch of the South African Military History Society meets at 7pm for 7.30pm in the Murray Lecture Theatre, Department of Civil Engineering, UKZN Howard College campus. The speakers will be a team from Glenwood High School on ‘Durban / Natal sportsmen in World War I’ and Adrian Nisbett on ‘The Von Blücher Brothers and the Invasion of Crete”. SATURDAY, 23 JANUARY: El Camino de Santiago, annual practical Camino workshop at St Dominic’s Catholic Church, 1 Mill Road, Hillcrest from 8am to noon. The R25 cost includes handouts and tea. MONDAY, 25 JANUARY: Yellowwood Park Women’s Institute (WI) looks forward to seeing all members and hopefully many prospective members at its first meeting of the year, which takes place at Yellowwood Park Bowling Club at 7pm. Do go along and join in the fun.
