60th reunion takes ex-scholars down memory lane

The function, which will be held in two years' time again, started at 4.30pm and went on until well after midnight with brilliant music by the multi-talented musician Adam Fanner.

THE New Forest High 60th reunion took place at Durban Wanderers Club last Friday, 27 November with over 480 ex-pupils, their spouses, partners and friends attending.

Many travelled from all over South Africa, and five visited from the USA, UK, New Zealand, Australia and Kenya.

Big thanks must go to Eric and his committee, as well as to Mike for organising the bus tour in and around Montclair and Woodlands which ended with a two hour visit and tour of New Forest High School. Thanks are also extended for the help and participation from the principal Cherie Pet and the sports co-ordinator Rene Haynes. The committee appreciates the 38 people who sponsored the lovely prizes.

The function, which will be held in two years’ time again, started at 4.30pm and went on until well after midnight with brilliant music by the multi-talented musician Adam Fanner. It was an unforgettable night that many will never forget.

Thank you to the staff of Durban Wandereres Club for their efforts.
