Bluff BC claims Bo Oliovson Challenge win

In the raffles, Gary Moffat won the meat and the boards were won by Jay Retief and Brendon Davies.

BESIDES the club competitions, this weekend was dominated by the Bluff Bowling Club versus Wentworth Bowling Club Bo Oliovson Challenge, which has been an annual competition between both since the 1970’s.

Last year Bluff BC played at Wentworth, with Bluff managing to win the trophy.

The club won it again this year by winning five out of the six games. Robert Mhlongo beat Jumbo Nel, Clinton Bisset beat Terry Micholson, Gary Moffat beat Brendon Davies, Robbie Johnston beat Graham Bransby, Dave Rowe beat John Somerville and in the last game Ben Newton managed to beat Dave Le Roux by one shot, otherwise it would have been a clean sweep for the Bluff.

In the raffles, Gary Moffat won the meat and the boards were won by Jay Retief and Brendon Davies.
