Steroids, dagga seized from Bluff home

24-year-old man arrested

A 24-year-old man was arrested at a Bluff home, following a swoop by members of SAPS Chatsworth cluster task team and Chatsworth crime intelligence team on Tuesday, 1 September.

It was suspected that prohibited substances and dependent-producing substances were being sold from the premises.

When police searched the premises, they found and seized several types of anabolic steroids, dagga and unlicensed ammunition.

The man was charged with contravening the Medicines Control Act, possession of unlicensed ammunition of two calibre types and possession of dagga.  He appeared in Durban regional court on 2 September.

SAPS Brighton Beach management expressed their thanks and appreciation towards the  Chatsworth crime fighting teams for their support in the Bluff area, the  seizure of the prohibited substances, dependence-producing substances and the man’s arrest.
