Bird life and fish covered in sludge.

THERE has been a massive oil spill this morning in the Durban Harbour.

Authorities on the scene, include Transnet, Spilltech and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.

Yacht owner, Billy Kruger, said it would cost about R15,000 to repair the damage to each yacht. It is unclear what the cost will be to the wildlife, but geese were seen covered in sludge, along with fish and other birds.

The cause of the spill is not yet known.
