Sunflower Fund breakfast moves venue

The more donors on the registry, the more hope patients have of finding their 1 in 100,000 lifesaving match.

TICKETS for the much sought-after ninth annual Sunflower Fund women’s breakfast are now available to the public.

The event takes place on Saturday, 28 March at Coastlands Musgrave Hotel, 315 Peter Mokaba Ridge Road from 8.30am to 11am.

Although the venue has been moved from Westville where it has taken place for the last eight years, guests can expect the same, if not more, fun, entertainment and value for money. A seat at this well-supported breakfast costs R200 which includes a fabulous goodie bag, delicious two-course breakfast, lucky draw and raffle prizes as well as two inspirational guest speakers, including oncology nurse practitioner Natasha Nunan, who will provide an insight into her hands-on experience with patients and families. A prize will also be on offer for the woman with the most creatively worn Sunflower.

The event aims to raise awareness and funds for The Sunflower Fund, which works towards building and maintaining the South African Bone Marrow Registry, in turn giving hope to patients living with leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders. The more donors on the registry, the more hope patients have of finding their 1 in 100,000 lifesaving match.

For bookings or to sponsor prizes or goodie bag items, contact Allison Naidoo on 031-266-1148 or email allison@sunflowerfund.org.za. There are only 150 tickets available so early bookings are essential.
