Hikers meander around Assagay
Hikers will meet at Union Main Centre, Old Main Road, Pinetown in time for a prompt 8am departure.
DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club plans a variation hike to Bux Farm on Saturday, 29 November.

Hikers will meet at the Assagay Hotel at 1.30pm and drive to the parking spot at 1.45pm. No shorter hike is planned and there is a vertigo warning for this hike, which has steep descents in parts. For the braai afterwards, take your own meat and salads, as well as R15 for the braai, plates and so on. The hike is graded three, strenuous.
On Sunday, 30 November, hikers will meander around Assagay, following some old routes which may or may not still be there. Call hike leader Jon on 082-459-1522.
Hikers will meet at Union Main Centre, Old Main Road, Pinetown in time for a prompt 8am departure, or at the Chantecler Hotel, Botha’s Hill, at 8.30am. A petrol sharing cost of R20 per person is suggested. Hikers will enjoy drinks at the hotel afterwards. This 18km hike is graded three, strenuous.
