DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club weekend programme:
On Saturday, 22 November take a hike to iSimbithu. Call hike leader, Abdulla on 084-478-6779. Meet at the Assagay Hotel at 1.30pm and drive to parking spot at 1.45pm. iSimbithu is an authentic Zulu Village. The hike will be in the Valley of 1000 Hills. No shorter hike. Cost is R20 per person, which will be donated to the Durban Green Corridor Project.
This hike is graded three, strenuous.
On Sunday, 23 November take a hike to Karkloof Falls. Call hike leader, Max Ramseier on 083-968-4434 or on 031-783-7876.
Joint Durban Ramblers/MBC/Midlands hike. Meet outside the Howick Hotel (in Howick) at 8.15am, to drive in convoy to Karkloof Country Club and the start of a scenic hike through woodlands. Cost is R25 per person for safe parking.
It is a 14km hike which is graded three, strenuous.
