Truck hijacked in South Coast Road

A TRUCK driver was hijacked in South Coast Road on Friday, 31 October.
The driver was approached by two hijackers wearing balaclavas and gloves.

One of the hijackers opened the assistant driver’s door and got into the truck. He told the assistant driver to get onto the back seat and tied him up while the driver was held at gunpoint. The hijackers drove the truck to an unknown location where the driver and his assistant were put into another car. The men were dropped off in Umlazi. A case was opened at Montclair SAP. The truck was recovered on Friday in Umlazi.

In another incident on Friday, 31 October a business was robbed in Seaward Road, Clairwood.
Two thieves, also wearing balaclavas and gloves, entered the premises and held up the owner and his employee.
The men took the owner’s wallet and two cellphones. Monclair SAP’s Lt Leopold Jojozi urges business owners to be vigilant during the festive season.
