ON Friday, 31 October, the 1st Yellowwood Park Scout group held a ‘spooktacular’ Halloween evening filled with frights, fun and games.

The evening went off much better than expected and was very well supported by the community.

Fun was had by not only by the children but parents as well. There were plenty of games and sweets, karaoke which was well supported and a haunted forest walk. The hall was decorated brilliantly with friendly ghosts and spooky witches by the dedicated group of scouters and parents.

A best dressed competition was held and the little ghouls, goblins, witches, wizards, mummies and zombies all had the opportunity to enter and win wonderful prizes. Even the adults joined in the best dressed competition.

The 1st Yellowwood Park Scout group thanks Glasfit, PG Glass, Netstar, Execuline for sponsoring some super prizes and Model Help U Market Pty Ltd t/a Model Kwikspar for donating the rolls. Thanks also to the scouters and parents who gave up all their spare time to put the whole evening together, making the evening the success it was. The group thanks all parents and children who attended, because without them it would not have been a success.

Everyone walked away with a smile and a bag full of goodies. The 1st YWP Scout Group are so pleased with the evening they can’t wait to run it again next year.
