Model needs boost for her Hollywood hopes

An ex-Bluff model needs votes to win big in Hollywood.

BLUFFITE Megan Galt needs her former homeland’s help to become the next big name on Hollywood as she competes in the ‘Model Turned Superstar’ competition.

The former-Marlborough Park, Fynnlands and Grosvenor Girls pupil, who has been living in London, has reached the top 20 in the competition. Half of her total score for the title is taken from votes on the competition website, while the remainder comes from her performance on the web-based show.

The show follows the models from around the world as they compete in competitions for cash prizes. The group is currently in Los Angeles, USA for the final leg of the competition.

“I love this show because it’s about becoming an actor, so I’m not trying to be stick thin – I’m just being me,” said Galt.

She has been modelling for 11 years and appeared in SA’s Next Top Model and is now pursuing her dream of becoming an actor. She plans to spend the next few years travelling. “I want to start seeing the world and depending on how this competition goes, I’ll be spending a lot more time in the States or I’ll start travelling the world – living out of a suitcase for a while.”

Galt has until Sunday, 19 October to atract as many votes as possible to stand a chance of winning the prize of $1-million and a role in a movie. Click on https://www.modelturnedsuperstar.com/portfolio/megan-elizabeth-galt/ to vote.

“My family and friends are the only reason I’m getting through this competition. All the girls in it are gorgeous, inside and out, so it’s tough. My mum, dad and twin brother are my biggest fans and my best friends in SA, Jolene and Mandy, have constantly had my back and kept up my morale.

I am overwhelmed by the support everyone has shown and that’s a win in itself, feeling so much love and knowing that SA has my back. It feels like a dream land.”
