Luvuyo, Rob rule the roost in Wentworth BC chicken run

The pork raffle was won by Steve Evenwell and Deon Maritz won the beef, while the whisky went to Allen Ritchie.

WENTWORTH Bowling Club’s Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls played on Friday, 10 October saw first prize won by John Somerville, Paul Steele and Robin DeGouveia with + 17.

Second prize went to Bill Addinall, Steve Evenwell and Colin Nicholis with + 8. Dirk Venter, Brian Smith and Dave Lavis took the sportsman’s prize.

The pork raffle was won by Steve Evenwell and Deon Maritz won the beef, while the whisky went to Allen Ritchie. The 1st 60/40 board was won by Bill Addinall and Gerald Castor Royle and the second board went to Kurt Spack and Willie Gericke.

In the chicken run played on Sunday, 12 October, chicken winners were Luvuyo and Rob Davis, while second prize went to Herbie Roux and Bokka van der Westhuizen. Johnny du Plessis and Linda Locker took the sportsman prize. The beef raffle was taken by Allan Moor and the whisky went to Frank Greyvenstein. The 60/40 board was won by Frank Greyvenstein and Ina Davies.

Events for the next week: Wednesday, 15 October at 3pm, family and friends fun bowls; Friday, 17 October at 9am, Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls; Sunday, 19 October at 9am chicken run, 2-4-2 pairs for those not playing in any other games.

The kitchen is open daily from Tuesdays to Sundays from 8am to 6pm. Breakfast, bar lunches and Sunday lunches are served. Call Ina Davies on 082-768-4644. Big screen TV for all the sports fanatics.
