Woman arrested for dealing in drugs

Drugs seized valued at R16,300

The Durban Flying Squad Narcotics Task Team arrested a 36-year-old woman in possession of cocaine in Chatsworth on Tuesday, 12 August.
Following an investigation, police arrested the woman who was found in possession of 160 pieces of rock cocaine and three grams of rock cocaine powder valued at R16,300. During the arrest operation police also found four mandrax tablets and 31 pieces of rock cocaine abandoned.
The woman was charged for being in possession of drugs and appeared in the Chatsworth Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 13 August.
“The members will continue with their good work to make sure those who are dealing with drugs are caught and arrested. We appeal to the members of the community to join the police in the fight against drugs in our community by providing valuable information to the police that will lead to the arrest of drug dealers,” said provincial commissioner, Lieutenant General Mmamonnye Ngobeni.
