Motorist robbed of R30,000 after making withdrawal

Robbers make off with salaries.

ANOTHER motorist was robbed of a large some of money after making a withdrawal from a bank in Montclair Mall on Thursday, 31 July.

Two gun-wielding men approached him while he was stationary at a traffic light at the corner of Blamey and South Coast roads in Clairwood. They commanded him to open the door and made off with R30,000 in cash, which was meant to be salaries for his employees.

The men fled on foot, southbound along South Coast Road.

The Sun reported last week how a man was robbed of R20,000 by three men posing as police officers at the Wood Road circle, moments after making a withdrawal at a bank in Montclair Mall.
