Domestic worker in shock after home ransacked

Three armed men plunder Langton Road home.

A DOMESTIC worker has been left traumatised after three armed men forced their way into her employer’s Langton Road, Montclair home on Wednesday, 30 June.

The worker, who was home alone, saw the men using a crowbar to gain entry into the house. She quickly alerted the owner before they entered the house. According to a police report, a man, wearing white gloves and green pants pointed a gun at her, covered her mouth and told her they were looking for a safe.

She was instructed to lie down, while his accomplices plundered the house. They made off with a flat screen TV, jewellery, a cellphone and a kettle, valued at R25,000. Their getaway car, a red vehicle with an unknown registration, was seen reversing out of the property before they drove off.
