Voting basics – Did you know….?

Did you know? You will be handed two ballot papers on 7 May.

Did you know? You will be handed two ballot papers on 7 May. One to vote in the National election and one to vote in the Provincial election. – Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC)

1. You will be given two ballot papers. On each one, vote for the political party of your choice , one vote per ballot paper.

2. Votes will not count if the ballot paper is not properly stamped by the presiding officer – make sure your ballot paper is properly stamped.

3. Keep you mark/X within the box or your vote will be counted among the spoilt ballots – If you do happen to make that mistake, you can still ask for another ballot paper. *Use your own black pen*

5. Voting stations are open between 7am and 9pm.

6. Bring your barcoded ID or temporary ID certificate.
