Surgery money stolen in Benson Road burglary

“I can't even sleep,” were the words of Una Field (55) after her Benson Road house was robbed on Sunday, 15 December.

The family arrived home from lunch at about 2pm to find the property had been broken into. Their two security gates and a security lock were broken and a solid wood door kicked-in. The house was trashed.

The robbers made off with a 32inch Sinotec TV, a Fujitsu laptop, video recorder and R9,000 in cash. “I held a garage sale to raise money for my grandson who needs surgery. He was born on Monday, 9 December with a major heart defect. I am pleading with the community to help us catch the people who stole my grandson’s money,” said Una. “It’s like we have been violated, we pray that God helps us to be victorious in this matter.
