Garrith Jamieson, ALS Paramedics spokesperson, said that all the necessary authorities arrived on scene. “We arrived shortly after 19:30 and were shown to the pool area, where, indeed, we found an unresponsive male. After a full assessment, the man was declared dead at the scene. It is believed that he had died well before we had arrived,” he said.
Jamieson added that they allege that the man was swimming but began experiencing difficulties leading to his drowning. The police have launched an investigation into the root cause of the incident.
