Merle Henning, the media liaison for Hocus Pocus Help, shared insights into the drive’s objectives and the vital impact it aims to make. “We are organising a drive to collect sanitary products, including pads and tampons, for redistribution in local schools to ensure that girls have access to these essential items during their periods,” said Henning.

“Our goal is to empower girls by enabling them to attend school during their menstrual cycles without interruption. Access to sanitary products helps prevent them from missing out on schoolwork and falling behind, which is crucial for their education and future,” she emphasised.

She added that supporting this cause provides girls with the confidence to attend school without worries related to their menstrual health. It’s a step towards equality in education, ensuring that periods are no longer a barrier to their learning and development.

Donations can be dropped off at the Hocus Pocus Help shop at 259 Marine Drive, The Bluff.
