Montclair teenager reunites with family after going missing

Angel Chabikwa, 17, was found in Woodlands following widespread media coverage.

A TEENAGER from Montclair who had been missing since the night of July 8, has been reunited with her family after she was located in Woodlands the next day.

Angel Chabikwa, 17, was found following extensive coverage of her disappearance on the Sun’s website and the widespread sharing of the news across various social media platforms.

According to her father, Edwin Chabikwa, the family was alerted by a call from an individual who reported that Angel had been spotted at a residence in Woodlands. Edwin refrained from elaborating further regarding the circumstances of her daughter’s disappearance. However, he expressed his gratitude to the Southlands SUN and community groups, such as Montclair Crime Eye, for their role in publishing the news of his daughter’s disappearance.

“Upon reviewing CCTV footage, we observed her sneaking out of the gate. She is now safely back home, and we are immensely thankful to everyone who helped us in locating my daughter,” Chabikwa said.
