Child (9) injured in pedestrian crash in Montclair

The child sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

A NINE-YEAR-OLD learner is fighting for his life in hospital after he was hit by a car on Blamey Road before South Coast Road in Montclair today (February 28).

Spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Garrith Jamieson said the child was on his way to school when the accident happened.

Jamieson said the child sustained serious injuries.

“Advanced Life Support Paramedics stabilised him before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further care,” said Jamieson.

On Monday, multiple schoolchildren were injured in a taxi crash on Kenyon Howden Road before the N2 Bridge in Yellowwood Park.

According to paramedics, the taxi was transporting learners to school in the morning.
