Last chance to register for 2024 elections

Next weekend is the last chance for voter registration.

THE last chance for voter registration is on February 3 and 4 from 08:00 to 17:00 at all voting stations across South Africa.

Member of eThekwini Municipality’s executive committee, André Beetge, said all South African citizens aged 16 or older possessing a bar-coded ID, smart card ID, or temporary ID should register.

“Registration can be done at any voting station in South Africa that will capture the residential address and register the citizen to the correct voting station. Only those registered to their correct local voting station, will be able to vote in the 2024 elections (date not yet gazetted),” he said.

Online registration can also be done using the IEC website at https://registertovote.elections.org.za
