JUST IN: Woman, child (3) mauled by dog while walking on The Bluff

The woman and child were transported to hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

A SHORT while ago, a Bluff nanny and a three-year-old boy were rushed to hospital after they were left seriously injured after being attacked by a dog on Boshoff Street.

Garrith Jamieson, the spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Medical Services, said that on arrival, paramedics found metro police in attendance and were shown to the patients.

He said, the woman, in her thirties and the boy were walking up the road when a Rottweiler viciously attacked them.

“Paramedics found both the woman and child to have sustained serious injuries to their lower limbs and backs as a result of the attack. Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise them on the scene before they were rushed to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required,” he said.

Jamieson said metro police and SAPS will be investigating the incident further.
