Friday, March 3

Women’s World Day of Prayer at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sormany Road, The Bluff, on March 3 at 10:30. All women are invited to join this celebratory interdenominational worldwide prayer service. Tea and cake will be served after the service. Amanzimtoti Presbyterian Church, situated at 10 School Crescent, Athlone Park, is hosting the 2023 Women’s World Day of Prayer on March 3 at 10:00. The theme is ‘I have heard about your faith – Taiwan’. Tea will be served after the worship service. All are welcome to attend.

Saturday, March 4

Kingsburgh Lions Club will host their first jumble / white elephant sale of the year, on March 4, from 07:00 to 10:00, at St Mary’s Church in Warner Beach.
Anyone can attend. They will be selling second-hand clothing, white elephant, books and videos at very reasonable prices. All funds raised are put to good use in their various community projects. Sunday, March 5

Visit another Sunday fun day Toti Vibe Market taking place at the Amanzimtoti Civic Centre on March 5, from 10:00 to 15:00. The day promises to be filled with fun for the whole family, with over 75 stalls selling various handmade items, jewellery, baked goods, arts and crafts, toys, clothing, crystals, a variety of food and drinks and much more. There will also be a lucky draw prize, live entertainment, activities for the children and more. The market is pet-friendly. Parking and entry are free. In The Last Hour – Sold takes place at the Stable Theatre, 115 Alice Street, Warwick Avenue, at 17:00  This show promises to raise awareness of the silent yet deafening fight between men and women, and the systems condoning this division. Browse the crafters, enjoy all types of food and tasty desserts and listen to the live music in our beer garden while enjoying a glass of wine or craft beer and gin at the Moonlight Market on 21 Uitsig Road, Durban North (same venue as Golden Hours).

Mad about the Boys. Catch the best of Cole Potter, Noel Coward and Ivor Novella at the Rhumbelow Theatre. The show starts at 19:30. There is also a Saturday show at the same time and Sunday at 14:00 and 17:00.

Saturday, March 4

Fulton School for the Deaf will host its Annual Fun Day from 09:00 to 14:00, and invites the public to come and support them on the day. Early bird tickets cost R200, and kids can gain entrance to play on the great variety of inflatables for the whole day. Tickets will cost R250 on the day. There will also be an option to buy a ticket for R50 to gain entry to the inflatables for an hour. Contact Simi Sivasanker on 072 844 4806.

The I heart Market takes place at Sugar Rush Park in Ballito from 08:30 to 14:00. The

market offers a wide range of handcrafted goods, including jewellery and accessories, leather goods, artisanal foods and deli goods, ceramics, visual arts, décor, and clothing.

 

The I heart Market has moved to Ballito.
The monthly book sale at the Crescent Mall in uMhlanga is on from 08:00 to 14:00 on the first Saturday of every month. Awesome books and CDs are available. Payment via card machine is now accepted.  Proceeds go to Durban and Coast SPCA.

Sunday, March 5

The brand-new monthly Deli Market kicks off at the Beachwood Country Club in Durban North. from 10:00 to 15:00. Entry is free and all are welcome. Trade enquiries to 083 287 9856.
