Brighton Beach police give back to children’s home

The home were given essential care products, cereals, and nappies, among other items.

AIMED at providing support and bringing happiness in the lives of children in need, the Brighton Beach Police Women’s Network handed over much-needed essential items to Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary on The Bluff.

The non-profit organisation is a crisis home that has been providing a safe space for abused, abandoned and HIV/Aids-infected babies and children for more than three decades.

Captain Louise le Roux, the spokesperson from Brighton Beach police, said they decided to assist the organisation with much needed care products, over-the-counter medication, cereal and nappies.

“As directed by Colonel Qaphe Ngubane, the Brighton Beach station commander, the Women’s Network upheld the spirit of ubuntu by gifting the organisation who rely on the good will of citizens. We hope these items will help to assist them in sustaining the care that they provide for the children.

We would like to urge residents and businesses to please support the organisation who continuously receives an influx of children in need of care and protection. Every bit of help can make a difference in the children’s lives,” she said.

Glynnis Dauth, the founder of the organisation, said she and her team would like to thank the Brighton Beach police and the various stakeholders for continuous labours of love towards vulnerable children.
