Ward 64 hit with water outage as reservoir runs dry, burst pipe

Montclair, Woodlands, Woodhaven and Yellowwood Park are currently experiencing a water outage, and technicians are currently working on repairs to Woodlands Reservoirs 1 and 2.

WARD 64 residents can expect delays in their water being restored due to the reservoir that supplies most parts of the area running dry on Wednesday.

Gavin Hegter, the ward councillor, said Montclair, Woodlands, Woodhaven and Yellowwood Park are currently experiencing two major water outages.

“The Woodlands Reservoirs 1 and 2 have run dry. Technicians are currently investigating. Further to this, water was restored in Yellowwood Park after a burst pipe in Wren Way on Tuesday. Unfortunately, there was another burst pipe in Wagtail Walk, however, that is being attended to. Water tankers have been requested,” he said.
