Bluff art exhibition a success

The finale included live music, artist introductions, exquisite food, beverages of all sorts, and entertainment.

ARTISTS from Bluff and surrounding areas were thrilled to be able to showcase their work at the Out There Exhibition held at the Grosvenor Library and Masterchef Coffee Shop.

The three-day exhibition was aimed at exposing raw talent in the Bluff and featured many different spheres of art, ranging from photography to paintings and woodwork.

Bluff photographer, Charles Moyo, greets an attendee.

Bluff photographer, Charles Moyo, well-known by the name CJ Moyo, said he was proud to have been associated with the event.
“We found this to be the perfect way to inspire the youth and to provide them with a platform to express themselves and appreciate each other’s art. We hope this event will revive the art scene on the Bluff, considering that the area bears so much heritage and history,” said Moyo.

The finale included live music, artist introductions, exquisite food, beverages of all sorts, and entertainment.
Moyo, who is a YouTuber and self-taught photographer based in Bluff, said he was glad to see that schools from the Bluff and surrounding areas participated in the event.

Artist, Nomakhwenzi Becker, addressed attendees.

“We also hosted a special morning session at the exhibition, where talks were held with some artists and other professionals. I am proud to be able to share my talent with the world. Photography has been a growing passion of mine since 2017. It has allowed me to branch into other creative fields, such as graphic design, videography, merchandise design and painting. It’s through photography that I have met all the other artists that will be exhibiting their work. The loving environment I grew up in while I was at school has allowed me to explore and express myself in the ways I can today. We look forward to many more events such as this exhibition so that artists can continue to showcase their work in public platforms,” Moyo said.
