WATCH: Patrollers remain vigilant as threats loom

SAPS and security personnel are still on high alert following reports of a national shutdown.

Montclair Community Policing Forum members have joined SAPS to ensure that no criminal elements leak into the community as it did during the previous looting in July last year.

Montclair SAPS communications officer, Captain Derek Vijiam, said patrols will continue throughout the day and night.

“All malls and shopping centres are quiet. Taxis and busses are operating as normal. Members have been deployed to monitor the anticipated national shut down,” said Vijiam.
