NPO hosts successful wellness day

Founder of the NPO, Nonhlanhla Ntombela said she was pleased to see their efforts culminate in success.

THE newly formed NPO, Food Circle, hosted the ward 64 Covid-19 stress relief awareness community event. On Tuesday, 24 November, the Montclair Recreational Hall was a hive of activity with various health services offered free of charge.

Speaking to the SUN, the founder of the NPO, Nonhlanhla Ntombela said she was pleased to see their efforts culminate in success after about two months of planning.

The programme included a variety of health and wellness topics such as stress, depression and anxiety dialogue. A yoga instructor was also there to teach guests ways in which to relieve stress. There were also intervals of dancing and a dramatisation for entertainment.

“Thank you to all our stakeholders who came on board to support this event. A special thanks goes to Jerome Cele who made a monetary donation that afforded us refreshments and other necessities to make this event a success,” she said.
