Two Wanderers bowlers ride out round robin games

Bowls subs are now due and members are reminded to make an effort to pay these soon.

The next round of the men’s club singles took place at Durban Wanderers on Saturday, 22 February, which saw Mike Flack beat Greg Ferns 21-14.

It was also the start of the Port Natal men’s singles. Unfortunately, only Steve van Rooyen and Richard Hendicott made it through the round robin games.

Steve progressed further on Sunday, 23 February, by winning his first game, but lost to Laine King in the next round 21-10.

The men’s inter-club league continues on Saturday, 29 February, with the B side travelling to Lahee Park and the A side entertaining Lahee Park and the C side entertaining Woodlands at home respectively.Bowls subs are now due and members are reminded to make an effort to pay these soon.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were: lamb pack – Diane Symons, beef – Jeff Bolt, pork roast – Mandla Gumede, rump steak – Clive Symons, chicken pack – Mandla Gumede, chicken – Jeff Bolt.

The R600 snowball was a carry-over as the name drawn was not in attendance.
The Friday Lotto of R50 was a carry-over as no one guessed the three numbers drawn.

The clubs function rooms – tavern, upstairs and downstairs are now fully renovated and available for hire. Contact the club on 031-462-2320
