WEDNESDAY, 28 AUGUST - SATURDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER

WEDNESDAY, 28 AUGUST: A Freedom Front Plus public meeting takes place at the Pigeon Club, Tara Road at 7.15pm. All are welcome.

THURSDAY, 29 AUGUST: Yellowwood Park Women’s Institute holds its birthday party at Yellowwood Park Bowling Club at 7pm. All members and past members are invited to join. The theme is Hawaiian.

THURSDAY, 29 AUGUST: Monthly meeting of the Bluff Ratepayers Association takes place at St Gerard’s Hall, Sormany Road at 6.30pm. All are welcome.

FRIDAY, 30 AUGUST: The Dutch Reformed Church, Montclair hosts a fête at the church hall, 42 Montclair Road, starting from 3pm. There will be a variety of food stalls to choose from. All are welcome.

SATURDAY, 31 AUGUST: Yellowwood Park Sports Club host its popular amazing race sports event at the club from 10.15am. To enter a team or to advertise your business on the day, call Nadene Lotz on 083-294-0373.

SATURDAY, 31 AUGUST: BirdLife Port Natal hosts an outing to Empisini Nature Reserve at 6.30am. Experience superb coastal forest rich in birdlife and a chance to see the Narina trogan bird. Bring chairs and a picnic for afterwards. For more information, call Sithembiso Majoka on 073-479-8585.

TUESDAY, 3 SEPTEMBER: Montwood Senior Citizens Social Club hosts a social meeting every Tuesday from 10am to 12.30pm at the Tray Bang Hall, 199 Kenyon Howden Road. A two-course lunch and refreshments are available for R15. A lucky attendance prize of a R100 voucher for Pick ‘n Pay can be won and bingo is on the last Tuesday of each month. All seniors over 55 are welcome to join.

MONDAY, 9 SEPTEMBER: Yellowwood Conservancy meets on the second Monday of every month at 5.45pm at the boma site, Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve and have a bring and braai after the meeting. Free entrance to the reserve on that day for the meeting. All who are interested in conservation and the environment are welcome.

WEDNESDAY, 11 SEPTEMBER: eThekwini Municipality launches its high impact social intervention programme, Operation Sukuma Sakhe (OSS) at Bluff National Park Golf Club, 100 Club Drive on Wednesday, 11 September. The initiative seeks to bring government and community stakeholders of ward 66 together for the development and greater good of the community.
