Team ‘flash’ set the pace at Bluff AC relay time trials

The club’s 10km runs on Tuesdays and time trials on Thursday 5.45pm have resumed weekly from Fynnlands Combined Sports Club.

BLUFF Athletics Club (BAC) hosted their annual ‘super hero’ themed relay time trials on Thursday, 4 April.

The relay consists of a 1.6km sprint with four runners per team. The teams combined times then dictate the positions.

Relay time trial results:

  • Flash: Connor Young, Dylan Williams, Chris Smith and Rogan Heyns 24:44
  • Hulk: Kelvin Berry, Mark Naicker, Iain England and Wesley Hawkey 26:40
  • Wonder woman: Cherise Muller, Don Le long, Ger Loubser and Rob Lagane 29:00
  • Superman: Kevin Adams, Marlin Wilson, Greg Ferguson and Graham King 29:58
  • Captain America: Bruce Deeley-Smith, John Mommen, Igantius Gorejena and Nozi Zondi 30:29
  • Ironman: Romondo Thompson, Janine Stadler, Kelly England and Peter Ngcela 31:05
  • Batman: Shammy Citlak, Kaitlyn Whitfield, Daniel Human and Amanda Hawke 31:44
  • Black panther: Basil Kok, Flippie Niewenhuis, Bill Hogg and Tyrone Whitfield 34:24
  • Spiderman: Tony West, Dennis Houston-McMillan, Peter Miller and Tina Nell 35:08
  • 4.7km walk: Wayne Coleby (visually impaired) 54:11; Thando Thusi (guide) 54:11

The club’s 10km runs on Tuesdays and time trials on Thursday 5.45pm have resumed weekly from Fynnlands Combined Sports Club. Licenses and membership to the best club in Durban are available after time trials.
