UPDATE: Durban road re-opens after tree falls onto cars

A tree fell onto the passing motorists at about 8am this morning, rendering the inbound lanes of the road closed while emergency services worked to clear the road and treat the injured.

FOUR people have been transported to hospital via ambulance to be treated for moderate injuries following a multiple vehicle collision on the Durban-bound lanes of Margaret Mncadi Avenue (ex-Victoria Embankment) just before Russell Street, on Monday morning, 4 March.
