Villa Park claims victory in soccer tournament
Yellowwood Park FC took on Villa Park FC in the finals of the recent 5-A-Side Tournament.
Yellowwood Park FC held a 5-A-Side Tournament for senior players on Sunday, 24 February at Yellowwood Park Sports Club.
After 44 games been played, two sides were left fighting it out for top honours. One side from Villa Park FC and the other side from Yellowwood Park FC.
Villa Park FC was the first to score from a quick combination play which resulted in a goal being scored and then in the dying minutes of the game the side from Yellowwood Park FC equalised from a counter attack. The game went into extra time and then to penalties with Villa Park winning 5 – 4 on penalties.
Well done to both teams for reaching the finals and giving spectators an exciting game to watch.
