Southern Hills WI group meeting tastes international flavours
Tea time took on an international flavour, with everything from cream scones to koeksisters.
YELLOWWOOD Park Women’s Institute (WI) hosted the Southern Hills Group meeting at Yellowwood Park Bowling Club on Monday, 26 November.
President Sharon Quail opened the meeting and welcomed all members and the many guests, wishing all well and giving thoughts for those who could not join in.
A few notices were read, advising of other activities in the area before it was on with the fun quiz, which was arranged and presented by YWP WI’s own Vanessa Wilesmith.
There were 60 questions, and all members had to know were the answers, which in some cases was difficult but unfortunately the men came out on top, with members a very close second. Thank you again to Vanessa for all her hard work.

The raffles and money board were drawn before a highly enjoyable, fun evening came to a close. Sharon Quail thanked all who had assisted, in particular Alida Pegram with the white elephant. The meeting closed with the WI prayer and a greeting for the Christmas season and the wish to go well and stay safe.
