Bluff investigator seeks witnesses to two hit and run deaths

Witnesses are urged to come forward to the Brighton Beach SAPS with information about two hit and runs that took place in September.

Lead investigator in culpable homicide investigations, Detective Warrant Officer Joanna Baldeo requires anyone who might have information on hit and runs committed on 14 September and 26 September, to come forward.

On 14 September, police were alerted about a man lying on the street on Bluff Road at about 7pm. On inspection, they found the man had sustained multiple body and head injuries and showed no signs of life. He was declared dead at the scene.
The man, who was believed to be 40-years-old, was dressed in black jeans and a black jersey. His injuries indicated he had been struck by either a truck or car.

In a second incident on 26 September at about 12am, police officer found a man who appeared to be in his 30s lying alongside the M4 northbound carriageway, next to the Rossburgh off-ramp. He was dressed in a black and white shirt, black shorts and black and white Nike sneakers. He was declared deceased by paramedics and the multiple injuries he sustained indicate he had been hit by a truck or car.
